Cabinet helps alleviate temperature concerns
This Protective Cabinet (STI-7550AH) from STI allows a fire alarm control panel to be mounted in temperatures exceeding normal parameters. The extra large, super tough, see-through polycarbonate enclosure offers protection against vandalism, either accidental or intentional, as well as dirt, dust and grime.
The AC/heater unit allows sensitive devices to be installed in areas suffering from damaging conditions, such as outside of condos, apartments, factories and warehouses or locations that are dirty or experience high humidity. The enclosure can also eliminate the expense of air conditioning or heating an entire warehouse or an unmanned warehouse.
To help sustain a uniform temperature inside the enclosure, the AC/heating unit cycles as required and a fan runs continuously. The AC/heater contains an integral power supply and built-in condensate removal system. The unit does not require a compressor, fluorocarbons or filters.
The STI-7550AH is self-contained and allows for optimal central location of the control panel. This will reduce expensive long wiring runs from an inefficiently placed control panel and eliminate the need to wire to an isolated storage room. Installers will save on equipment, wiring costs and even the horror of constructing a special room specifically for the unit.
This cabinet's dimensions are impressive. The housing can protect a unit up to 21.75 x 16.75 x 5.81 inches (552 x 425 x 147 mm). This allows clearance for proper air circulation of the AC/heater. Mounting hardware is included and tamperproof mounting screws are available. A model with AC only is also available (STI-7550AC).
